Musings on Musings and James T.
Poetry has recently insinuated itself into my life.
Been reading some, particularly James Tate and Tracy K. Smith. Which, with a surge of working in the studio with the Dark Matters series, teased out some words of my own. So, periodically I will be sharing some that I’ve written.
In the interim, seeking a means to blend the poetry with photomontage in a visual format. Without being cheeky. or banal or cloying.
James T.
I’m smitten
With a poet
He is not a handsome man
And not terribly accessible
Since he is long dead
Yet his words pierce me like a fish joke
And make me smile in irony
As my phone autocorrects my own
As my phone autocorrects my own
